06 - Castle Street, Cardiff - Geraint Thomas

Along with Ed Clancy, Steve Burke and Peter Kennaugh in the Team Pursuit, Geraint claimed our 7th Gold of London 2012, beating Australia in the final with a new World record of 3:51.659.

Lubs and I were really impressed with Cardiff.  There were plenty of bars and cafes (always a good sign).  The perfect place for a good night out.  The postbox was right by the castle.  And bathed in glorious sunshine, we wished we could have stayed longer to explore.  It cost £6 to cross the River Severn or Afon Hafren, if you like, and this induced a real desire to quote lines from Gavin and Stacey.  Tidy !
